This is the earliest CYC advertisement I could find. The ad appeared in the March 1975 issue of “Bicycle Motocross News”, shows a monoshock bike called the Stormer. You cant get a good view of the bike to tell if it is another companies monoshock with CYC stickers. The advertisement points out that CYC Motocross was started 3 years earlier. So CYC dates back to 1972! But it is not clear if they meant they were doing Motorcycles untill there first monoshock released in 1975.
